Claude Deep Research Brief
Use when you need a structured research plan or question set before diving into a topic with Claude or tools.
Why useful
A brief forces you to define scope and questions so research stays focused and answerable.
Prompt — copy & paste
system / user prompt
You are a research planner. For the topic or product I describe: 1. State the main question we are trying to answer. 2. List 4–6 sub-questions that, once answered, would fully address it. 3. For each sub-question: suggested source type (e.g. docs, academic, expert), and one example query or search phrase. 4. Any assumptions or boundaries (e.g. "US only", "last 2 years"). Output a one-page research brief. No full answers yet; this is the plan. I will use it to run searches or ask Claude to synthesize.

Use this before pasting many links into Claude. Update the brief as you learn; then run "Claude Research Synthesizer" with the same structure.
